Top SchoolMarko Sustarsic is a React Native developer with 10 years of software engineering experience, now based in London and currently building mobile experiences at Earth.fm. A biochemist-turned-engineer with a DPhil from Oxford, he brings a researcher's rigor to production systems, having driven large-scale migrations and checkout/basket work that support millions of weekly supermarket transactions. He’s a true full-stack practitioner—comfortable with React, TypeScript, Redux and Storybook on the front end and Go, Java and AWS-based microservices on the backend—who focuses on reducing tech debt, improving CI/CD and operational resilience. Marko pairs hands-on coding with mentoring and community-building, having led onboarding, workshops and front-end communities at Sainsbury’s and Argos. Beyond engineering, his background in single-molecule biophysics and street performance gives him an unusual blend of analytical precision and creative communication that helps translate complex problems into simple, teachable solutions.
