Top SchoolMarkus Aichhorn is a university professor and theoretical physicist with 12+ years of academic experience specializing in numerical studies of correlated many-body phenomena and condensed matter physics. He develops and implements new algorithms and computational schemes, contributing code for DFT+DMFT ab-initio calculations as part of the TRIQS project hosted at CEA Orsay and École Polytechnique. Having progressed from postdoctoral roles in Wuerzburg and École Polytechnique to professorship at Technische Universität Graz, he blends deep theoretical insight with practical software engineering for large-scale simulations. Based in Graz, Austria, he is known for turning complex physics problems into reusable, published computational tools that bridge theory and high-performance computing.
