Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarlon Bernardes is a seasoned full-stack software engineer with over 13 years of hands-on experience and a track record of improving performance, reliability and delivery velocity across startups and large platforms. He excels in TypeScript, JavaScript and Java, and has applied Kotlin, Ruby and Python to solve production problems from APIs to responsive frontends. At companies like Klarna, Zalando, Impala and ZOE he cut costs, slashed response times (e.g., a critical endpoint from 8.2s to 230ms) and sped up CI and deployment cadence dramatically. He combines pragmatic architecture changes—state machines, resilient batch processing and simplified legacy decommissions—with mentoring and a taste for shipping business-impacting features like ZOE’s rapid MenoScale launch. Now based in Dublin and currently at Microsoft, he brings both deep technical craft and an appetite for fresh learning, evident in his habit of open-sourcing useful tooling and building internal developer velocity improvements.
