Top SchoolMaro R is an AI Technical Lead based in Swindon with nine years of hands-on experience evolving from front-end engineering into senior AI and technical leadership roles across UK public sector and consultancy environments. Currently leading AI efforts at Version 1 while also operating as a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer for the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, he bridges product-facing UX work and production-grade AI deployments. His background includes a MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bath and a track record modernising government services (HMCTS, Home Office, Cafcass) with cloud-native frontends and ML-enabled solutions. Known for pragmatic delivery, he combines deep frontend pedigree (Angular/Azure) with recent expertise in building and operationalising AI systems, and he’s pursuing formal leadership development through Multiverse’s Transformative Leadership programme. An early career mix of web design and hospitality work gives him uncommon empathy for user experience and cross-team collaboration.
