Top SchoolMartin Apostolov is a software engineer with 10 years of experience, currently building business spend solutions at Payhawk after several backend roles at Progress focused on Kinvey’s BaaS platform. He brings strong JavaScript/TypeScript and ES6+ expertise, complemented by practical exposure to Go and C#, Kubernetes, Node.js and MongoDB. His background includes customer-facing technical leadership, designing serverless architectures and cloud functions for enterprise customers, which gives him a knack for translating product and operational needs into robust backend services. Before transitioning to tech he held analytical and product roles in banking, so he pairs engineering skills with a deep understanding of financial products and metrics. Based in Bulgaria, he combines hands-on implementation experience with cross-functional empathy—useful when shipping integrations or troubleshooting production incidents. An appetitive learner, he upgraded into software from a business/marketing foundation via Telerik Academy, signaling adaptability and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
