Principal Software Engineer at Unity
Greater Stockholm Metropolitan Area Sweden
Summary
🤩
RockstarMartin Sternevald is a Principal Software Engineer based in the Greater Stockholm area with 13 years of experience shaping core platform and mobile capabilities at Unity. He has progressed from Android-focused roles into senior and principal engineering positions, blending deep systems, architecture, and performance expertise across large-scale game and media platforms. Known for pragmatic leadership, Martin has led architecture efforts on CMS and content-delivery projects earlier in his career, giving him a strong track record in caching, network transport and scalable backend design. Although he is not seeking new roles (and prefers to avoid Java/Android positions), he continues to influence technical direction and mentor teams on robust, production-grade solutions. An engineer who moved from C++/Windows client work to shaping modern platform services, he brings uncommon continuity across three decades of evolving software stacks.
