Senior🎓
Top SchoolMartin Strauss is a seasoned full-stack software engineer and producer with 14+ years building user-centered systems at Google and in research labs, currently based in San Francisco. He specializes in software quality and usable, ubiquitous interaction—particularly haptics, non-speech audio, and embodied agents—bringing research-grade thinking to production products like Google Play Instant, dynamic delivery, and Maps/Local UGC. His background spans developer tools, B2C messaging, search and social UIs, affective modeling, and knowledge-based systems, enabling him to bridge frontend UX, backend infrastructure, and device-side code. Comfortable moving between research and shipping at scale, he pairs an MSc in Computer Science and early AI/Virtual Human work with deep practical experience in developer-facing platforms. Notably, he blends musical and choral discipline with technical rigour—an uncommon mix that informs his attention to timing and interaction nuance.
