Senior🎓
Top SchoolMartin Verges is a serial entrepreneur and CEO with over two decades of hands-on experience building internet infrastructure, hosting platforms, and software-defined storage. He started coding at 11 and went on to found and scale multiple companies—leading a data center and 100-Gbit/s backbone with a proprietary DDoS scrubbing center and an exit in the eight-figure range. Since 2017 he has grown croit GmbH organically as CEO, focusing on Ceph-based scale-out storage and helping establish its US branch and global, follow-the-sun support. Martin combines deep technical chops (from early Turbo Pascal roots to complex network and storage architectures) with proven commercial outcomes and recognized rapid growth authenticated by Deloitte and KPMG. Regularly speaking on the international stage and a founding member of the Ceph Foundation, he blends operator mentality with product-driven engineering. Less obvious: his trajectory reflects a pattern of building mission-critical, high-availability systems first and monetizing them later, preferring reinvested growth over external funding.
