Martinho Hoffman is a data-focused Python engineer and team lead based in Rio de Janeiro with 8 years of experience building ETL pipelines, web crawlers, and AWS-backed microservices. He currently leads a team at Zyte, balancing client-facing stakeholder management with hands-on development in Scrapy, Pandas, and scalable data workflows. His background blends backend API design and serverless AWS patterns with a strong emphasis on data quality, compliance, and performance optimization. Martinho pairs technical depth—an MBA in Data Science and bootcamps from Le Wagon and IGTI—with practical leadership, having managed multiple small engineering teams to deliver reliable integrations in regulated domains like insurance. Colleagues rely on him to translate complex technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders while keeping systems robust under growing data loads. He’s equally comfortable diving into crawler internals or tuning Lambda/DynamoDB pipelines to squeeze out latency and cost improvements.
