Mason Li is a systems software architect and executive with over 10 years of experience building OS, compiler and distributed systems that power mobile and edge devices. As MediaTek’s Chief Architect of System Software he led the creation of the Dimensity Agentic AI Engine to seed next-generation edge agentic operating systems, and previously founded CoCoPIE to bring real-time AI to commodity devices. His track record spans startups and multinationals—driving foundational features at OPPO, Huawei’s Distributed Services for HarmonyOS, and system optimizations across Intel platforms. He authored the technical book "Advanced Design and Implementation of Virtual Machines" and has repeatedly translated deep research into product-ready, power- and latency-conscious implementations. Mason blends low-level performance engineering with AI-agentic system design, often building bespoke frameworks (including a small DNN training framework) to meet constrained-device needs. Based in Mountain View with a PhD from USTC, he focuses now on making agentic GAI practical at the edge.
