Senior🎓
Top SchoolMat Greten is a Backend Software Engineer with 9 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining integrations, APIs, and mission-critical features, currently contributing at CompanyCam. He blends deep empathy from a decade-plus customer service and technical support background with pragmatic engineering—making him as comfortable triaging high-priority incidents as designing upgrade paths for legacy systems. At Upland Kapost he rebuilt teams, led a successful Rails 4.2→6.1 upgrade after previous failed attempts, and championed clean code, test coverage, and cross-functional collaboration. He’s known for mentoring junior engineers, reducing operational friction, and shipping incremental improvements daily to support rapid iteration. Based in Longmont, Colorado, Mat pairs a BS in Software Development with an uncommon focus on customer outcomes, evidenced by early work automating reporting and SSO handoffs. His personal motto—“a glass can only spill what it contains”—captures his practical, ownership-driven approach to engineering and mentorship.
