Top SchoolMat Guimaraes is a Senior Software Engineer with 8 years of experience building distributed systems and modern web apps, currently at alvee through Techstars in the New York City area. He has shipped end-to-end products across industries—from facial recognition systems and ML research to Web3, NFTs, and DeFi—and helped deploy EVM contracts and governance tooling for DAOs. Comfortable across frontend and backend stacks (Next.js, Vue, Laravel, GraphQL, REST) and databases, he combines strong analytical rigor with a focus on code quality and high-availability architectures. Before finishing his CS degree he co-authored five research papers in computer vision and ML, two published at the highest Brazilian journal rank, reflecting a rare bridge between research and production. Colleagues rely on him to translate complex algorithms into scalable services and to iterate quickly on revenue-driving features for sales and product teams.
