Top SchoolMatej Latin is a self-taught product and UX designer with 11 years of experience who has risen from freelance graphic tasks to senior and leadership roles at companies like GitLab and Auto Trader. He blends design and front-end development expertise—authoring a web typography starter kit and a book on web typography—to deliver polished, rhythm-aware interfaces. At GitLab he led onboarding redesigns and experiments that substantially improved conversion and activation metrics, while also scaling the design org and creating faster onboarding for new designers. Now curating design at TLDR and leading design work through matejlatin.com, he combines hands-on CSS/JS tweaks with strategic design systems thinking. Based in Slovenia, he’s comfortable in the grey area between visual craft and implementation, often shipping code-level refinements that preserve typographic rhythm.
