Top SchoolMateo Álvarez is a software developer from Montevideo with six years building web products that blend strong UX/UI sensibilities with pragmatic front-end engineering. He has helped deliver high-traffic creator sites and educational platforms (midu.dev, adventjs.dev, codember.dev) and led the frontend redesign and design-system work that enabled smoother multi-team development. Comfortable in small, deadline-driven teams and in leadership roles, he’s built component libraries (+50 components, 150+ tests), icon systems, and monorepos to standardize and scale products. Mateo pairs a designer’s eye with developer rigor, frequently teaching best practices and creating developer-focused documentation to reduce onboarding friction. Notably, his work has reached millions of visitors and is used by thousands of developers, reflecting an emphasis on accessible, production-ready web experiences.
