Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMateus Viegas is an engineering manager based in Porto with nearly a decade of experience designing and delivering event-driven, service-oriented systems across startups and large enterprises. He has led and grown multiple cross-functional teams—scaling one cluster from 3 to 10 engineers and currently overseeing 18+ engineers across three verticals at FARFETCH—while driving architecture modernisation and Azure cloud adoption. His hands-on background in C#, DDD, CQRS and distributed systems informs pragmatic platform decisions, including messaging topology and identity server implementations that enabled a B2B SaaS integration post-acquisition. Previously as a CTO and founding technologist he built a serverless, multi-tenant marketplace chatbot that achieved rapid customer growth and broad retailer integrations in Brazil, showing he balances product impact with technical rigor. Known for improving operational resilience, he implemented on-call practices that cut service ticket lead time by 40% and achieved full SLA compliance, reflecting a focus on delivery and observability as much as design.
