Top SchoolMatheus Fernandes is a software engineer from Ceará, Brazil with 11 years of experience building web applications and backend systems, currently at OfferingTree SBC. He has a strong Ruby on Rails background and two years focused on web development, complemented by full‑stack work using React, Sidekiq and AWS from prior roles at Agenda Edu and Intricately. Comfortable integrating payments and third‑party services (Pagarme, Google, Intercom) and optimizing backend performance, he bridges product design and engineering by working closely with designers to componentize frontends. A computing student at Universidade Federal do Ceará with international coursework at Kent State and Illinois Tech, he’s increasingly exploring machine learning and AI alongside his production engineering work. Early leadership experience running talent acquisition and processes at GTi Engenharia Jr. shows he combines hands‑on coding with people‑oriented operational thinking. Matheus brings practical startup experience and a curiosity for ML that suggests he’s ready to expand into data‑driven product work.
