Top SchoolMatheus Maia is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with over a decade of experience building production-ready AI systems and a focused 7+ years in data science and MLOps. Google Cloud certified, he specializes in Vertex AI, Kubeflow, Terraform and scalable ML pipelines that move models from research into reliable production at companies like Stone Co., Globant and now phData. His work spans fraud prevention, multimodal product matching, and retail categorization—often combining BigQuery, embeddings and Generative AI to solve messy real-world problems. He pairs academic rigor (MSc in Computer Science from UFCG) with hands-on engineering, having implemented real-time inference APIs, interactive visualizations and IaC for reproducible deployments. Not obvious from titles alone: he has led training programs and teaching assistant roles, reinforcing his ability to translate complex ML concepts across technical and non-technical teams. Based in Campina Grande, Brazil, Matheus is passionate about applying robust infrastructure and generative techniques to drive measurable business impact.
