Top SchoolMatheus Matos is a Senior Software Engineer based in São Paulo with 11 years of experience building high-performance, cloud-native systems for fintech and telecom. He specializes in Java and Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS, and has driven architectural and performance improvements that enabled over R$2 billion in financed operations. Known for pragmatic technical leadership, he blends deep backend engineering—distributed systems, SQL optimization, observability—with a strong business focus that shortens time-to-value. Matheus routinely improves response times and reduces costs through careful service design and query tuning, and he’s actively mentored teams to raise code quality and delivery velocity. His background includes modernizing legacy platforms into microservices on OpenShift/Kubernetes and shipping resilient payment and reconciliation pipelines for banks and payment providers. Outside the obvious stack, he’s pragmatic about tooling choices and prioritizes measurable impact over technology for technology’s sake.
