Senior🎓
Top SchoolMatheus Tura is a Senior Backend Software Engineer with eight years' experience building scalable, uptime-sensitive systems across fintech, security, and IoT domains. Currently at PayPal/Venmo, he brings deep Java microservices and event-sourcing expertise honed at Latin America’s fraud-detection leader Axur, plus hands-on AWS CI/CD and observability experience. He pairs backend rigor with frontend sensibilities—listed as a frontend developer specialist on GitHub—and a history of performance-focused work in low-latency trading and GPU-accelerated visuals. Comfortable mentoring and driving migrations, he has reduced costs and downtime through pragmatic automations (e.g., S3 migrations, remote update daemons for distributed devices). Educated at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, he blends research-rooted systems thinking (computer graphics, sensor fusion) with product-driven engineering across high-stakes production environments.
