Top SchoolMathew Davies is a Principal Security Engineer based in London with over 25 years in cybersecurity and IT and 14 years of focused experience building secure platforms for gaming and metaverse products. He blends deep hands-on infrastructure engineering—having built the first multi-tenant SpatialOS PaaS—with senior security leadership, shaping SSDLCs and aligning security roadmaps to business goals. At Improbable he progressed from core infrastructure engineer to Product Security Manager, leading teams that delivered three platform offerings while embedding regulatory and best-practice controls. Known for resolving complex incidents and driving proactive audits, he brings a pragmatic, risk-focused approach to platform design and deployment. Outside the obvious, Mathew’s career shows a rare continuity from early IT and network roles through to principal security leadership, giving him a broad operational perspective that informs secure, scalable architectures.
