👤
SeniorMathew Kleppin is a technical lead with 13 years of full‑stack and systems engineering experience, currently building moderation tools for large communities at Discord. He blends front‑end craftsmanship—keen attention to micro‑interactions and reusable component libraries—with backend architecture, having led migrations to event‑driven microservices and designed scalable ML pipelines and real‑time APIs. Mathew has driven measurable operational improvements across teams, from cutting deployment times by 87% to halving package sizes and API latency through focused refactors. He’s led security‑sensitive projects (HIPAA and email security auditing) and shipped serverless and distributed architectures that supported business growth and acquisitions. A mentor and developer‑first leader, he fosters talent and turns internal pet projects into IP while keeping hands on with React, GraphQL, TypeScript and modern CI/CD.
