Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMathieu Massicotte is a senior software developer based in Montreal with over a decade of experience building backend Python/Django systems and native iOS apps. He has led security-focused, microservice architectures and shipped production platforms that ingest and analyze large streams of email and SMS data using Kafka, Django REST and OpenShift. Comfortable both as an individual contributor and team lead, he pairs hands-on backend implementation with UX design, API design and mentoring junior engineers. His background as a long-time entrepreneur (co-founder of Via Logica) and creator of a commercial iOS app (Portero) gives him a pragmatic product sensibility beyond pure engineering. Fluent in French and English, he favors clear documentation, Agile practices and robust testing standards. Colleagues value him for bridging design, ops and developer tooling—most recently building onboarding tooling for cloud infrastructure at Morgan Stanley.
