Senior🎓
Top SchoolMatt Akbarian is a software developer with 11 years of experience building and modernizing backend systems, SaaS platforms, and applied AI/ML solutions across finance, cloud, and academic settings. He has led technical teams and rewrites of legacy systems—migrating Java stacks, introducing CQRS and concurrency, and cutting infrastructure costs while improving performance and resilience for high-throughput trading and cloud storage platforms. At ICE he modernized a mission-critical real-time trading data pipeline handling $50B+ yearly volume and delivered a backwards-compatible JMS library to bridge Java versions; at Aimsio he reduced CI/CD time ~60% and migrated to Java 17 to lower operating costs. His research work on entity resolution with LLMs and prior experience building real-time mobile SDKs show an unusual blend of production engineering and ML experimentation. Based in Canada, he’s pragmatic about trade-offs and skilled at turning complex integration challenges into maintainable, auditable systems.
