Top SchoolMatt Anger is a Principal Engineer based in San Francisco with 11 years of experience designing and shipping large-scale backend and infrastructure systems across multiple startups that achieved high-profile exits, including DoorDash and Airbnb IPOs and acquisitions of MoPub and MAX. He specializes in high-performance, cloud-native distributed systems and real-time adtech architectures, often implementing solutions in Go, Rust, C++, and Kubernetes at production scale. As a leader he has founded core platform and performance teams, driven service-oriented migrations, and launched streaming and observability subsystems that measurably reduced load and improved latency. Comfortable from low-level networking and DPDK work to language/runtime optimizations (e.g., custom thrift-like bindings at Airbnb), he blends systems-level curiosity with product-focused engineering to make complex infrastructure reliable and efficient.
