Matt Barnard is a Senior Lecturer in philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University with eight years of experience teaching metaphysics, political and Ancient Greek philosophy and researching continental thought, critical theory and the philosophy of technology. He holds a PhD from MMU and is finalising a monograph on Heidegger and freedom while expanding research into the philosophical implications of AI and emerging technologies. Beyond academia, he blends scholarship with hands-on tech skills as a self-employed web developer and the executive committee member who leads events, web and branding for the British Society for Phenomenology, where he also founded the BSP Podcast.
