Senior🎓
Top SchoolMatt Brewer is a CFG Architect and R&D security professional with over a decade of experience designing hardened OS platforms, automating security controls, and building metrics-driven reporting for complex environments. He blends deep hands-on expertise in server hardening, application architecture, penetration testing and DFIR with practical development skills used to automate assessments and security dashboards. At AlgoSec he drives research and product-focused architecture while earlier roles in finance and consulting saw him deliver large-scale hardening programs, vulnerability analytics, and bespoke tooling for thousands of servers. A co-founder and longtime practitioner, he pairs business-facing technology leadership with low-level security research—running honeypots, malware/OSINT analysis and Chrome extension work on the side. Based in Oakville, Ontario, Matt is as comfortable leading security engineering projects as he is writing the automation that proves they work.
