Summary
👤
SeniorMatt Costa is a π-shaped product and design leader with 12 years building and shipping AI-enabled SaaS and consumer-facing products from 0→1 through early growth. As a fractional partner and Techstars lead mentor he embeds with founders to translate technical capability into clear user journeys, lightweight design systems, and defensible product strategy. He’s co-founded and led product at Reap, shipping production LLM features for investor relations and balancing usability, trust, and compliance in regulated finance. At Datch he scaled product orgs and delivered multimodal, real-time AI voice systems informed by hands-on field research in heavy industry. Earlier roles show a strong craft background—design systems, front-end components, and even a crowdfunded physical card game that included a companion web app. Based in Auckland, he pairs entrepreneurial grit with a practical engineering fluency that helps teams ship quickly and sensibly.
