Senior🎓
Top SchoolMatt Davies is a senior engineering leader and founder with over a decade of experience building products, teams, and technical strategy across startups and scale-ups. He’s led engineering organisations from zero to ~20 engineers, shipped products used by hundreds of thousands, and raised over £1M while closing commercial deals with customers like Rolls‑Royce. Comfortable operating across engineering, product, hiring, fundraising and commercial decision‑making, he combines pragmatic, outcome-focused leadership with a willingness to make hard calls under uncertainty. Recent roles include scaling growth, platform and AI initiatives at Monzo (helping drive 100k+ sign-ups/month) and founding web and manager communities in Edinburgh. His background in regulated, security-sensitive systems and hands-on startup CTO roles means he balances developer experience, operational excellence and enterprise readiness. He thrives where problems are ambiguous, stakes are real, and he can partner with founders to shape product and organisational direction.
