Senior🎓
Top SchoolMatt Distefano is a frontend-focused full-stack engineer and hands-on lead with a decade of experience building scalable, accessible, and high-performance web applications. He specializes in Angular, React, TypeScript, and C#, and has repeatedly led teams to deliver multi-tenant SaaS portals, design systems, and hybrid mobile apps while owning CI/CD, infrastructure, and monitoring. Known for turning monolithic PHP/.NET apps into modern SPAs, he blends pragmatic architecture (Terraform, GCP/AWS, Docker) with meticulous UI work—WCAG-compliant components, Storybook-driven design systems, and performance optimizations like bundle preloading and virtual scroll. Comfortable in cross-functional roles, he’s acted as on-call troubleshooter across frontends, identity (Auth0), and backend services, and has driven organization-wide standards for releases, feature toggles, and observability. Based in Portland, he brings both deep hands-on implementation skills and a knack for shepherding complex features from design to reliable production rollouts.
