Top SchoolMatt Irwin is a seasoned director and product leader with 11 years in technology, currently scaling teams and product launches at Watershed after a pivotal leadership run at Mapbox where he helped grow the company from 20 to 500 employees and drove multiple product launches and multimillion-dollar enterprise deals. He specializes in building small, high-leverage teams that deliver outsized business outcomes—closing major integrations and founding Mapbox’s government and humanitarian programs. His background is unusually interdisciplinary: earlier careers in sensitive diplomacy and field environmental research inform a pragmatic, risk-aware approach to stakeholder management and mission-driven product work. Based in Bellingham, WA, he pairs outdoor leadership and Wilderness First Responder training with a track record of translating complex operational challenges into scalable commercial solutions.
