Top SchoolMatt Laver is a seasoned software engineer and technology leader with 13 years of experience building cloud-native systems, developer tools, and e-commerce platforms across startups and large enterprises. Now a Sr. Specialist in AWS’s Generative AI Worldwide Specialist organisation, he architects and pilots bespoke GenAI solutions, authors technical reference materials, and drives field enablement for large-scale deployments. His hands-on background spans .NET, TypeScript, serverless AWS architectures, Terraform, and CI/CD—skills honed while migrating legacy systems to the cloud and running his own software consultancy. Comfortable translating deep technical concepts into practical business outcomes, he’s equally at home writing white papers as he is implementing secure payment and API systems. An early career background in instrumentation and embedded software gives him a pragmatic systems perspective that informs his approach to scalable, reliable engineering.
