Summary
👤
SeniorMatt Machell is a Senior Technical Architect with 14 years of experience designing and delivering web products, currently shaping digital services at the UK Ministry of Justice. He blends deep hands-on development and architecture skills from long tenures in public sector and enterprise software with a practical eye for accessibility and user-focused interfaces. Beyond his day job he runs a smallpress publishing business and freelances as a web author and consultant, bringing storytelling and documentation strengths to technical projects. An experienced technical editor and trainer, he routinely translates complex requirements into clear, maintainable systems and accessible experiences. Based in Birmingham, he pairs steady delivery in large organisations with creative side‑projects—most notably self-published tabletop games—that keep his design instincts sharp.
