Top SchoolMatt Mcnamara is a seasoned technical executive with 13 years of experience building high-performing engineering teams and products, now based in Portland, Oregon. He has led technology and people strategy as Head of Technology and CTO, scaling orgs from startups to growth-stage companies and managing teams of 40+ engineers and hundreds of contractors. Matt specializes in pro-employee culture, professional development programs, and operational systems—designing processes like 360 reviews, internal wikis, and benefits transitions to improve retention and transparency. He pairs that people-first approach with hands-on technical leadership in infrastructure, shared systems, and product operations to deliver measurable outcomes. Uncommonly for an exec, he’s been deeply involved in day-to-day engineering work and site-level program management, from internal tooling to large distributed contractor programs. His background spans product, HR-adjacent organizational design, and full-stack delivery, enabling him to bridge strategy and execution.
