Top SchoolMatt Olan is an Advisory Software Developer with 13 years of experience building web and systems software across Python, Go, C, Java and JavaScript. Based in Markham, Ontario, he pairs strong Linux and cross-platform expertise with practical CI, version control, and debugging skills honed at IBM and the University of Toronto. He previously ran his own agency, delivering front-end, mobile and custom backend solutions while managing clients, finances and subcontracting—experience that shaped his product mindset and time-management discipline. Comfortable across frameworks and CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla) and IDEs from Xcode to NetBeans, he bridges design sensibility and engineering rigor thanks to earlier work as a designer/developer. Known for quick learning and independent initiative, he is equally effective as a solo contributor or a collaborative team member on complex projects. A hands-on technologist with real-world client experience, he often surfaces pragmatic operational fixes that prevent recurring issues.
