Top SchoolMatt Sandler is a Senior Server-Side Software Engineer based in Pittsburgh with 12 years of experience building data-driven backend systems, search platforms, and analytics pipelines. He currently architects GraphQL and search-backed services at FEED.FM using Node.js, TypeScript, Elasticsearch/Opensearch and MySQL/BigQuery, blending product-focused engineering with scalable data tooling. His background spans financial services and cybersecurity—implementing ML and NLP workflows at Check Point and PayPal and production analytics and RPA at PNC—so he brings a pragmatic, security-minded approach to data problems. As a former data science instructor and Israel Tech Challenge fellow, he pairs hands-on coding with mentorship and curriculum experience. Colleagues appreciate that he’s equal parts skeptical and curious—he jokes about proving people aren’t robots, and that same attention to verification shows up in his focus on reliable, auditable systems.
