Top SchoolMatt Van Orman is a software engineer and team lead with seven years of experience building web applications and mentoring early-career developers. Based in Eagle Mountain, Utah, he pivoted into web development after studies at DevMountain and a background in information systems, bringing a pragmatic blend of creativity and technical discipline to product work. At SOLO he leads engineering efforts while previously mentoring and teaching at DevMountain, giving him strengths in coaching, onboarding, and translating business needs into reliable web experiences. His earlier roles in quality assurance and lead administration honed his attention to process, data-driven reporting, and team accountability. Outside of work he channels curiosity into linguistics and music—an interest that informs his creative approach to UI and user experience. Colleagues describe him as a hands-on leader who balances practical delivery with a playful creative streak (and an enthusiasm for slappin' da bass).
