Matteo Borgato
Summary
👤
SeniorMatteo Borgato is a senior software engineer with over a decade of front-end–focused experience, now at DuckDuckGo after engineering leadership roles at Assembly and InVisionApp. He specializes in TypeScript/JavaScript and React (including React Native), blending hands-on FE craftsmanship with team leadership and product-facing delivery. His career spans startups and large product teams—from founding engineer at Pastbook to senior roles at Booking.com—giving him a knack for shipping polished, user-centric interfaces at scale. Based in Ceará, Brazil, he pairs a formal background in mathematics and computer science with a designer’s past, which helps him bridge UX and engineering pragmatically. Notably, he transitioned from design and print early in his career into leading modern web platforms, reflecting a rare mix of visual sensibility and deep technical fluency.
