Top SchoolMatteo Menapace is an indie game designer based in London with 13 years of experience crafting cooperative board games and facilitation-led learning experiences. As founder of Beesness Games Ltd, he builds transparent game systems that invite players not just to play but to interrogate and remix rules, turning participants into the game engine. His work blends digital arts and communication design—grounded in degrees from Universität der Künste Berlin, Politecnico di Milano and Central Saint Martins—into playful, educational experiences that encode and decode learning. He specializes in collaborative design processes and workshops that help groups prototype social systems through gameplay. Matteo’s projects, such as Daybreak, focus on real-world challenges like climate action, revealing a commitment to games as tools for civic engagement and systems thinking. Beyond design, he emphasizes game-making as a transformative practice rather than passive entertainment.
