Top SchoolMatthew Crist is a seasoned technology leader and co-founder who brings 14+ years of experience architecting resilient, low-complexity systems for public-sector and mission-driven organizations. As fractional CTO at Rudder and co-founder of Helm, he pairs hands-on full-stack skills across Drupal, Rails, and React with pragmatic operational tooling—everything from GTFS-enabled transit apps to accessible design systems and zero-downtime pipelines. He’s led initiatives for the City of Boston, MTA, County of Marin, and Berklee, consistently focusing on developer velocity and preventing team burnout. Based in Georgetown, MA, Matthew combines strong product sensibility and UX-aware front-end craftsmanship with an insistence on maintainable infrastructure—on weekends you’re more likely to find him tending a smoker than a server.
