Top SchoolMatthew Eppelsheimer is a Staff Software Engineer with 13 years of experience building resilient, cloud-enabled web applications and SOAR security products, now helping decarbonize energy at Equilibrium Energy. A former founder who grew a specialty WordPress agency into a multi-person firm, he combines hands-on full‑stack work (React, Angular, Node) with product-minded architecture, infrastructure as code, and embedded-electronics experience. He excels at leading technical teams with empathy, prioritizing people development, clarity of vision, and pragmatic long-term tradeoffs between velocity and technical debt. Matthew is unusually cross-disciplinary—equally comfortable shaping UI animations and designing fault-tolerant backend systems—and routinely mentors junior engineers while promoting open source and strong security practices.
