Top SchoolMatthew Ewell is a Senior Software Engineer based in Denver with a decade of experience building Ruby on Rails, C#/.NET, and JavaScript applications across enterprise and remote-first teams. He blends pragmatic object-oriented design with disciplined automated testing, and has a niche talent for test-suite performance—once cutting a Rails test suite runtime by more than 3x. As a technical lead he pairs hands-on coding with mentorship, having led hybrid Ruby and C# projects and driven architecture and delivery at companies like Verisys and Caterpillar. Comfortable in professional services and product contexts, he focuses on software that both improves quality of life and “looks good inside and out.” Beyond implementation, he continuously hones design practices through measurable engineering improvements rather than just abstractions.
