Top SchoolMatthew Fitzgerald is a software engineer with nine years of practical experience, currently building banking solutions at American Express in New York. A Java-focused programmer with a Computer Science degree from CUNY Brooklyn College, he brings both backend discipline and a grounded understanding of enterprise systems. His background includes college-level technical support and hands-on customer-facing roles, which inform a pragmatic approach to solving user and operations problems. Based in Brooklyn, he balances production engineering with a dry sense of humor—his GitHub notes that “the website is usually down” hints at a candid, troubleshooting-first mindset.
