Top SchoolMatthew Jording is a Principal Engineer with 16 years of experience building and leading teams to deliver scalable web, API, cloud, and data-driven systems for startups and Fortune 500 clients. He combines deep hands-on expertise in Ruby, JavaScript, Java, Python, Postgres, Redis, Neo4J and AWS with a strong background in Unix/Linux automation and platform development. As a consultant and engineering manager he has grown engineering organizations, formalized onboarding and interviewing processes, and created vocational education and mentoring programs that reduce time-to-productivity. Recently he’s productized connected tabletop gaming hardware and synchronization services, showing a knack for bridging embedded systems with cloud services. An advocate for open source and community-driven projects, he also brings a practical educator’s mentality from years teaching and curriculum development. Practical, versatile, and team-focused, he excels at turning ambiguous product needs into reliable, maintainable systems.
