Top SchoolMatthew March is an accomplished technology executive and CIO with decades of leadership across banking and financial services, currently serving as EVP, CIO at West Coast Community Bank after transforming Sunwest Bank’s technology and security posture. He has a proven track record of turning IT from cost center to revenue driver—leading digital onboarding that attracted thousands of business clients, enabling $145M in new loans from modest marketing, and supporting $400M in deposits via API integrations. Matthew combines hands-on delivery (data warehouse and enterprise BI platforms, cloud-native greenfield builds, and a patented anti-check forgery innovation) with strong governance, regulatory compliance and cybersecurity programs. He has led major M&A technology integrations, multi-site data center modernizations, and sustained large budgets while driving double-digit cost optimizations. A published speaker and member of the Data Warehouse Institute Executive Counsel, he balances strategic vision with operational rigor and an appetite for practical innovation. Outside work he’s an avid sailor, chess and guitar player, and a collector of first editions—traits that reflect a curiosity-driven, disciplined approach to problem solving.
