Top SchoolMatthew Mcfadden is a full-stack engineering contractor with four years of hands-on experience building front-end and back-end features, currently contributing to SurrealDB’s Surrealist project. He progressed from intern to contractor at SurrealDB after shipping a wide set of UI and cloud features—multi-window support, enterprise ticketing, cloud metrics and backups, and redesigned developer views—demonstrating rapid impact in product-facing tooling. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, he pairs freelance work in web design, video editing, and graphic design with formal studies in Information Communication Technology at the University of Kentucky. Early experience running IT and internal software for a family business gave him practical ops and product sensibilities that complement his engineering focus.
