Top SchoolMatthew Ortega is a Staff Product Designer focused on building and scaling design systems with nine years of professional experience and a decade-long creative practice rooted in generative art and interactive work. Based in New York with international ties to Spain, he blends product design rigor with hands-on prototyping in tools like Framer, Unity, Three.js, and Blender to support multiplatform SDKs and immersive XR experiences. At Unity he drives system-level thinking for consistent UI/UX across products, having earlier led XR design at Verizon Media and founded a creative studio that explored novel aesthetics through code. His background spans agency and freelance roles for brands including Google, Apple, and R/GA, where he frequently bridged design and front-end implementation. Comfortable leading design sprints and mentoring cross-functional teams, he brings an unusual mix of art-led experimentation and production-grade systemization. Known for turning generative concepts into usable components, he excels at making exploratory work ship-ready.
