Bristol, Connecticut, United States
Summary
Matthew Palmer is a Senior Software Engineer with six years of experience specializing in cloud-native infrastructure and DevOps, currently driving platform and automation work for Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution. He combines hands-on AWS and IaC expertise with self-service tooling to automate VM delivery and support both cloud and on-prem deployments. Previously he built scalable Kubernetes and CI/CD solutions at Thermo Fisher and progressed through network engineering and operations roles at Spot On Networks, giving him deep operational grounding. Matthew is comfortable spanning infrastructure, automation, and scripting across Linux and Windows, and has led large-scale network and RADIUS deployments in production. Based in Naugatuck, CT, he brings a pragmatic focus on reliability and developer experience, often translating legacy systems into repeatable, automated delivery pipelines. Colleagues would note his unusual blend of enterprise media-scale engineering and grassroots network ops that informs practical, resilient platform design.
