Top SchoolMatthias Steiner is an impact-driven software engineering executive with 13+ years scaling product and engineering organizations at the intersection of cloud, SAP ecosystems, and go-to-market strategy. Currently VP of Software Engineering at Syntax, he builds a global, genAI-focused product unit that incubates AI-infused cloud solutions complementary to SAP’s portfolio, and he also advises Bain while serving as an SAP Mentor. His background spans hands-on development to C-level product and strategy roles—former CPO/CSO at Neptune and long tenure at SAP—enabling him to translate technical trade-offs into commercial outcomes. Known for fostering diverse, global teams, he emphasizes execution, knowledge sharing, and an innovation mindset that tolerates risk.
