Senior🎓
Top SchoolMatty Burns is a strategic operations and leadership professional with eight years of experience shaping board governance, fundraising compliance, and executive support at university and nonprofit organizations. As Chief of Staff at the New Mexico State University Foundation, he oversees cross-functional teams and large-scale audits—previously managing a 6,000-fund audit and a team of five—while aligning volunteer leadership with institutional strategy. He pairs an MBA with hands-on program design from earlier roles at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, where he built engagement initiatives, managed multi‑partner grants, and produced content and podcasts to grow young-adult participation. Trained as a full‑stack developer through Launch Academy, Matty brings technical literacy to data integrity and process automation efforts, a less obvious asset that helps bridge IT and operations. Based in Irvine, CA, he combines rigorous project management, HR experience, and a talent for stakeholder communication to drive measurable organizational impact.
