Senior🎓
Top SchoolMauricio R is an open-source focused full-stack software engineer with 11 years of experience building performant, accessible web interfaces and microservice platforms for employers ranging from GE and Disney to startups. He specializes in React, TypeScript, and Python, and has led SSO, CI/CD, and component library efforts while owning product backlog and Scrum duties at enterprise scale. As the creator of the Bind project and related microservices (Air, Wh00t, Arcadia/Lexicon), he combines privacy-first caching, real-time chat, and environmental data analysis into a minimalist intranet vision. His background as an infantry medic in the 82nd Airborne informs a pragmatic, human-centered approach to reliability and user safety. Mauricio also blends curiosity-driven hobbies—soap making, mycology, fermentation and essential oil distillation—with technical pursuits like a personal web crawler (Project Druid) and Air pollution monitoring, reflecting interdisciplinary thinking beyond typical engineering roles. Based in Gainesville, FL, he frames software as storytelling about data, bringing both philosophical perspective and hands-on execution to open-source systems.
